Software to Account for Non-linear Visco-elastic Behaviour of Plastic Products

Software has been develloped to model the non-linear visco-elastic behaviour of plastics and to carry out non-linear Finite Element Method Aanalyses.

Testing Facilties
Zwick Tensile testing system with an optical strain measuring system MTS Impact Tensile Tester - impact speed up to 2.5 m/s.

Light Microscopes Microtome amd UV-degradation equipment
Equipment Specifications
Multi purpose hydraulic fatigue machine Maximum amplitude 13 kN in tension/compression and 50 Nm in torsion. Frequency up to 50 Hz. Specimen temperature between 15 and 60 °C.
MTS - Hydraulic fatigue test equipment Tension loading up to 100 kN. Fatigue test programme with load, strain or position control; sine, triangle, square or arbitrary waveform. Specimen temperature between 10 and +150 °C.
U.V. Degradation equipment

Xenon lamp intensity 765 W/m. Spectrum between 280 and 800 nm. Test area 180 x 250 mm2. Cyclic humidification programmes. Exposure of specimens while bent in prescribed radii.
Injection moulding machine Klöckner FX75R, clamp force 750 kN
Compression moulding Fontijne hydraulic device compressive force 200 kN.
